A little more about me

Last Updated 24th March 2010

I wanted to write a little more about the things I am involved with and some more details about the churches I attend. Attending more than one church is not ideal, I am more than aware of that, and I believe that the Lord is working it all out, so if I could ask you to please be patient with me, as I try and explain why there are three places of worship in my life right now.

My Faith and My Churches:

This is a link to my personal testimony which will give you all the details of how I came to know Jesus as my personal saviour. It's quite a journey and at times the path I have trodden since coming to Christ has not always been the one God would have chosen for me.

Thankfully God is faithful, even when I am not, and as I type this in August of 2010 His hand on my life is getting back to where it once was back in the early 1990's.

So why am I involved in three different churches? Well it's such a long story that the short version really won't explain it that well, but here goes. MJA is the church I joined in 1995, but in 2003 I left the church because I basically didn't think I could live up to my calling. (I MUST stress that at no point did anyone from MJA ever make me feel this way, or put this upon me, in fact they did everything they could to make me feel accepted).

I spent seven years wandering in the wilderness, up until Noel's funeral in May of 2009.

What has happened between then and today (Sept 3rd 2010) is for another page, but on Teusday of this week, Aug 31st, Odette and I re made our coventant vow to the church and to God. I can not attend MJA locally because there is no longer a household in Preston, only God knows if He has plans for one here in Blackpool.

Lytham CC was the church I attened here locally when I came back to the Lord in May 2009, and I still go there at night time because right now there is no evening service at The Well.

The Well is where I believe God wants us all to be for now locally, for how long, you will have to ask Him.

I do intend to give my all to this church and I do feel as if the Lord is opening up doors and ministries a little bit at a time. I am playing my guitar again in housegroup, which I haven't done for a long time, and so far the feedback has been very positive.

My good friends Tony, Gary and Peter wanted to meet together to pray and have fellowship, which I was very pleased about as this is the first time the four of us have been going to the same church. I felt that God wanted this meeting to be open to all the brothers who attend The Well Church and so last Thursday we had our first 'Brothers get together'. I pray God blesses us all as we meet, pray and seek His face, I have a vision for this group of men, only God knows where we will all be in say a years time.

The links below are to the church web sites.

A sub heading in here for:

The five people who have most effected my walk as a Christian.

I'm not into hero worshipping, not at all, that's not what this is about.

The five men below have been responcible for moulding, growing and helping me through my Christian walk, and my life to some degree.

Tony Brown - Noel Stanton - George Bedding - Peter Embin - Steve Moseley.

My Ministry

If you read my testimony you will see how I once knew a lady called Carol, who for many years studied with the Jehovah's Witnesess.

The Support Me page is really aimed at giving people the chance to support me in what has become quite a full time ministry. Keeping up with the changing belief's of those belonging to the Watch Tower and Bible Tract Society is a full time job, they flip flop doctrine so often it's actually quite hard work.

If you want to see me lose my cool, blow a gasket, and basically not show very many fruits of the spirit, say something like, 'witnessing to a witness is a complete waiste of time'..to my face, that will pretty much do it..!!

I believe there are ways to reach these people, they are not lost forever, the problem is not with the witnesses, but with the people who are too lazy to learn how to reach them!

Agape Acceptance gives people some idea how, I hope you will take a look and contact me if you have any questions.

My Family

I'm currently working on web sites for the girls, but going back to www.chrisandodette.co.uk will give you an idea about my family.

Kerenza's site is probably the one I have worked on the most, she still needs to tell me what to write though.

Kimberley's is really only the bare bones as right now she is in the middle of studying for exams, or at least she should be.. cough...

My love of football.. sinful I know..

It would be easy to deny this, come across as super spiritual and healed of the need to support a bunch of men, kicking a piece of plastic (used to be leather) around a field.. but I'm not there yet. It's no longer the god it used to be, but MUFC are still a part of my life and I believe that church can learn a lot from football and the people that follow it

.

What I am hoping to work as..

I know that there are thousands of web site designers out there and so I don't hold out a lot of hope of ever actually being good enough to earn any money from this, however..

A friend of a friend gave my name to a lady who wanted to sell her prints on line and I made a web site for her. It has since been changed so I can't actually show you what I did but she was pleased with it and passed my name onto her brother.

BlackWhiteMedia was created using a free template, very much the same as this one.

I use these freebies just because writing out a site from scratch in CSS takes hours and hours, and when people will let you use theirs for free, I hardly see the point in making your own.

If you need a site making, please drop me an email and we can chat, right now my rates are probably a lot cheaper than any where else you will find.

The people I help..

Hope Dog Rescue to name one.. but more to follow as I get around to it...

The Vision: A beauty to fight for, A band of brothers to fight with, A father figure to show us all how!
